Due the first class of the second week of the term.
WARNING! Before partitioning your harddrive and installing Linux, make backup copies of important files and locate your rescue floppies and CD-ROMs for restoring your computer to orginal form.
If you haven't done Hour 1 yet, You will want to do so before doing Hour 2.
Do read and work your way through Lesson Hour 2 of both books.
Do the exercises at the end of the chapters.
This includes attempting to install Linux. Write down all the steps you go through. Be sure to list any problems you have. Turn in a copy of your notes to your instructor.
The Projects will be submitted through e-mail and attachments. The computer output can be capture using the Print-Screen key and then pasting it to PAINT program. Results will be sent to you by your instructor. After the DUE date, answers will be posted.

Do Your Learning Journel
At least once a week, E-mail your instructor on how your are doing. If you have questions or problems, Feel free to E-mail then to your instructor. Also include a diary of the days and hours you spent on the course. You can also exchange problems and notes with other students by using the WEB board.
